The Oneness

Recently, I have been thinking a lot about the One. One Life, One Love, One God, etc. It seems we can complicate our lives so much nowadays, that we forget life is as simple as One. Granted, there are many dimensions of this, for example; Yin and Yang are two elements, but they combine in harmony to form One.

I think it is important for all of us to remember the One. I sometimes forget, and at that point my life becomes difficult and confusing. When this happens and I wish to reconnect with the simple life, I just take a deep breath and return my thoughts to the One, and I feel 110% better. I feel reborn. I can't explain or describe it totally, but it works. Praise Jah!

Many attain a similar form of connection. They actually release their bodies and minds, and allow their souls to refocus. Yogis do this while practicing yoga. Buddhists meditate. In Zen Buddhism they call it the "nothingness."

Yes, there is a nothingness, a zero. It is the emptiness in which life exists and thrives. The Mayans and Chinese were some of the first mathmaticians to explain this. With out it, we would not be able to explain base 10 logic, binary code and I would not be communicating on this computer with you.

During meditation, one attempts to seperate themselves from the material world. They "travel" to the nothingness realm, or lack of realm. This is the first step in recognizing the One. After you release yourself, you will notice a sense of euphoria. This is the qi or prana redispersing itself throughout your body. You mind is clear and calm, your body is relaxed, but your spirit is active.

This is the point where many remain. It is a wonderful and prosperous place. Spending time here will benefit your life in more ways than I can describe in one lifetime. However, taking it to the next level will benefit your soul for many lifetimes to come. This is where the One comes in.

Whether you're religious, spiritual or atheist, you cannot deny that life exists. It is very healthy to give thanks and praise for life. To whom or what is totally up to you. Rastas praise Jah, Christians praise Christ, Muslims praise Allah, Buddhists honor Buddha, etc. However you do it, connecting with the One source is your key to enlightenment and spirtual growth.

Spring Fever

Is Spring fever classified as an illness? If it is, then I'm dying from it. Am I the only one? I don't think there is enough cold water in the world to cure me.

Wisdom and Thoughts

I recieved this from a mass e-mailing and thought I would share it with you.

16 THINGS THAT TAKE A LIFETIME TO LEARN

1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a
laxative on the same night.

2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human
race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential,
that word would be "meetings."

3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost
never want you to share yours with them.

5. You should not confuse your career with your life.

6. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

7. Never lick a steak knife.

8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.

9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and
compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.

10. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely
suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an
actual baby emerging from her at that moment.

11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people
to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven.

12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age,
gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that,
deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average
drivers.

13. A person, who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a
nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never
fails.)

14. Your friends love you anyway.

15. Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone
amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the
Titanic.

16. Final thought for the day: Men are like fine wine. They start
out as grapes, and it's up to the women to stomp the crap out of
them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner
with. (This one could go either way in my opinion)
